How to Sell Chickens

Selling chickens is one of our goals. It takes time to hatch and raise them. We are continuing to work on finding the best breed to raise and sell. Yesterday I sold 14 Ameraucanas. They seem to sell best so far. They lay blue eggs. We also sold all of the Polish we have hatched so far. I had lots of people call wanting breeding stock for the Polish but I only had 1 month old chicks for sale. So far not much interest in the Silkie or Wyandotte Chickens. Hopefully that will change once they are a little older. We have found craigslist to be a great tool to sell chickens.
So here is my question-
What breed of chickens are you raising?
Do you prefer blue, white, or brown eggs?

We continue to hatch more chicks here at Green Power Farm. We are hatching Ameraucana chicks which have ear muffs and beards and lay blue eggs. We are also hatching eggs from our Breeder Pen. I’m going to post the latest video of the new breeder pen we built. We have White Crested Black Polish, Silkie, Black Copper Marans, Blue Wyandottes, and Light Brahmas. Currently we have three incubators going in the living room. One we use as our hatching incubator. We love hatching eggs it is so much fun !!!!!!!
