Say I am just getting into building my own coop. I will only have 3-4 chickens. I really like the predator proof setup. I thought you would need more than just that. Can’t they still dig under that? I would like to incorporate that into my setup cause it would be so much easier to move and still be safe. Is that a four inch board or 6 inch board?
The solar power chicken tractor actually has 4 in boards at the bottom that fold up for moving and then you release them back down after moving to provide protection at the bottom of the coop.
Good work. I build coops and cages in NC. Check out my website. Thanks.
how would you stop chicken picking order?plz tell me what you think is the best way for the hens to get along
How many hens do you have together? How many roosters are with them? If you have hens of different ages that can be a problem. If you have too many roosters then that could be problem. Sometimes you can add distractions for them. Something to pick at like a flock block or extra green stuff in their pen will give them something to do. They get bored…………. then they pick on each other.
